Synopsis Of “The Murder Of Crows”

The following is a synopsis of a story titled “The Murder Of Crows”. The story is meant to be a long-form story, perhaps a novella or full-fledged novel.

Here is the synopsis:

Mina has suffered from a severe case of Ornithophobia, the fear of birds, for many years. Though she is afraid of all birds to some degree, it is the thought of crows and ravens in particular that frightens her the most. Though she will not discuss the reasons behind her fear of crows, those closest to her know the dark reason for her fear.

Mina must come face-to-face with her greatest fear when a middle-aged couple moves into the house next door to her and turns the backyard into an aviary and rehabilitation center for birds. The situation is made even worse for Mina when she discovers that the couple also has a crow they have raised since birth as their personal pet.

Mina’s mind begins to become irrational as her fear of birds takes over, bringing up long-buried trauma that begins to drive her to madness. It is this journey to madness that causes Mina to begin thinking that every crow she sees is plotting evil against her. But…what if she’s right?
